The rules for using Hire Warriors.

Who we are

Hire Warriors is operated by Honorable Marketing, a company based in Greenville, South Carolina. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Honorable Marketing, and "you" means anyone who visits the site, searches the directory, claims a listing or books a verification session. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What the service is

Hire Warriors is a national directory of United States businesses owned by veterans, active-duty service members and reservists. People search it to find those businesses and contact them directly. That is the whole product. We are a place to be found, not a marketplace, a broker or an agent.

Listings are free

Being listed in the directory costs nothing, and it always will. There is no subscription, no listing fee and no way to buy a higher position in search results or inside a category. The only thing we sell is a one-time verification session, described below. We do not bid out leads and we do not sell them to anyone.

Accuracy of directory information

Much of what appears in the directory is compiled from public business data, and the rest comes from owners who send it to us. We work to keep it current, but we cannot promise that any listing is accurate, complete or up to date. Phone numbers change, businesses close, service areas shift. Confirm details with the business before you rely on them. If you find something wrong, email us and we will correct or remove it.

A listing is not an endorsement

Appearing in the directory is not a recommendation and not a guarantee of quality, licensing, insurance or honest dealing. We do not inspect work, check references or supervise anyone. If you hire a business you found here, that agreement is between you and that business; Hire Warriors is not a party to it. We are not responsible for the work performed, the money exchanged or any dispute that follows.

If you own a listing

You are responsible for everything you submit: business name, description, services, hours, photos, logo, licenses, contact details and any claim about your service record. Submit only information that is true and that you have the right to use, and keep it current. Do not claim veteran, active-duty, reservist, SDVOSB or VOSB status you do not hold. We can edit, suspend or remove any listing at any time if the information is false, misleading or stale, or if the business is using the directory to harm people.

Verification and the $50 session

Verification is a short video call where the owner shows proof of service: a DD-214, a VA card, a military ID or an equivalent document. It is booked and paid through Google Calendar appointment scheduling. The fee is $50, charged one time; there is no subscription and nothing renews. Google handles the payment, so Hire Warriors never sees or stores card numbers. If you do not provide acceptable proof on the call, we can decline to verify you. The fee pays for the session, not for a guaranteed outcome. Before you book, read the Cancellation Policy; it governs refunds, rescheduling and no-shows.

What the Enhanced Profile includes

Passing verification unlocks an Enhanced Profile: a verified badge, your logo and up to six photos, a full description and service list, hours and service area, licenses, insurance and SDVOSB or VOSB status, extra contact methods and a booking link, structured data for search engines, and priority sort inside your category. Priority sort applies within your category only. It is not a way to buy placement across the directory, and an unverified listing is never hidden or pushed out of results because it is unverified.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-copy the directory, by hand or by script, and do not republish our listings as your own database. Do not falsely claim military service or ownership status, yours or anyone else's. Do not use contact details from the directory to spam, harass, threaten or defraud a listed business or its customers. Do not try to break, overload or probe the site. We remove listings that do these things, and we report conduct that appears criminal.

Intellectual property

The Hire Warriors name, logo, site design, written copy and the directory as a compiled whole belong to Honorable Marketing. You may link to us and you may share individual listing pages. You may not copy the site or substantial parts of the directory for your own use. Content you submit stays yours; by submitting it, you give us permission to display, format and distribute it on the site and in search results for as long as your listing is live.

No warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, that search results will be complete, or that any listed business will respond to you, be available, or do good work.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Honorable Marketing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, arising from your use of the site or from any dealing with a listed business. For any claim relating to the site or these terms, our total liability is capped at the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero for most users and $50 for a verified owner. Some states do not allow these limits; where that is true, they apply as far as the law permits.

Indemnity

If your use of the site, the content of your listing, or your dealings with someone you met through the directory leads to a claim against us, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Honorable Marketing and the people who work for it, including reasonable legal fees and costs.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms as the site changes. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. If a change materially affects verified owners, we will also email the address on file.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or out of your use of the site must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina, and you agree to personal jurisdiction there.
