How we handle your information.
Hire Warriors is a free directory of veteran-owned, active-duty and reservist-owned businesses. This page explains what we collect, where listing data comes from, who we share it with, and how to get your listing corrected or taken down.
What we collect
Business listing records. These cover things like company name, owner name, business address, phone number, website, category, service area, and whether the business is veteran-owned, active-duty-owned or reservist-owned. This is business information, not personal browsing history, but for a sole proprietor the two overlap, so we treat it carefully.
Form submissions. If you submit a listing or send us a message, we receive whatever you type: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and the details of your business or question.
Booking information. If you book the paid verification session, Google's appointment scheduling collects your name, email, the time you picked, and the payment. Google processes that payment. We never see or store your card number.
Analytics. Like most sites, we see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, what device and browser they use, and how they found us. This arrives through Google Analytics 4 and is aggregated. We do not use it to identify you by name.
Where listing data comes from
Most of the listings on this site were not submitted by the business owner. We compiled them from public business data: public registries, published directories, and businesses' own public websites. We did that so the directory would be useful on day one instead of sitting empty waiting for sign-ups.
The rest were submitted by owners through the form on this site. Either way, a listing is free. We do not charge a business to appear here, and we do not hide a listing behind a payment.
If a listing is yours: correcting or removing it
You are not stuck with what we published. Email paul@honorable.marketing with the business name and the link to the listing, and tell us what you want changed. We will correct the details, update them, or take the listing down completely.
There is no account to create, no fee, and no argument. We only need enough information to be sure you are connected to the business. We aim to act on these requests within five business days.
How we use it
Listing data runs the directory. It is what people search, filter and browse when they are looking for a veteran-owned business to hire.
Form submissions are used to reply to you, to add or update a listing, and to follow up on what you sent. Booking information is used to run the verification session you paid for. Analytics tell us which pages people actually use and which ones are broken, so we can fix them.
That is the entire list. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your information to pitch you unrelated products.
Who we share it with
We share information with the companies that run parts of this site, and only so they can do that job.
Webflow hosts the site and stores what you send through our forms. Google provides Tag Manager and Analytics 4, and Google's appointment scheduling handles verification bookings and the payment for them. Jetboost powers the directory search and the filters. Mapbox powers the location search box inside those filters.
Each of those companies handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. We also share information when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not bid your leads out. We do not hand your contact details to lead buyers, lead aggregators, or anyone else who wants to pitch you.
When someone finds a business here and contacts it, that conversation belongs to the two of them. We are not in the middle of it, we do not route it, and we do not take a cut of it.
How long we keep it
Listings stay up until the owner asks us to remove them, or until we learn the business has closed. Form submissions stay in Webflow for as long as we may reasonably need them to answer you or maintain the listing.
Booking records live inside Google's systems and follow Google's retention. Analytics data follows the standard retention settings in Google Analytics 4. If you want something we hold deleted sooner, ask us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email paul@honorable.marketing. You do not need an account and we will not make you jump through hoops; we only need enough detail to find the right record.
If you live in California
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, to request that it be corrected, to request that it be deleted, and to not be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. California residents also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
There is nothing to opt out of here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of the other rights, email paul@honorable.marketing and put California privacy request in the subject line.
Children
This site is built for business owners and for people looking to hire them. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through a form on this site, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs on Webflow over HTTPS. Bookings and payments happen inside Google's systems, so card numbers never reach us. Access to form submissions is limited to the people at Honorable Marketing who need it. No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise, but the best protection is simple: we do not collect data we do not need.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies: essential ones set by Webflow, analytics cookies set through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, and functional storage used by Jetboost and Mapbox to make directory search work. Our Cookie Policy lists each one and explains how to turn them off.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so plainly instead of burying it. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
How to reach us
Hire Warriors is operated by Honorable Marketing, based in Greenville, South Carolina. For anything about privacy, your listing, or the data we hold, email paul@honorable.marketing. A real person reads it.
