Cookies

Every cookie this site sets, and why.
Hire Warriors runs on a short list of cookies: the ones Webflow needs to serve the site, Google Analytics so we can see what is working, and the storage that makes directory search and location filtering run. No ad networks, no cross-site tracking.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. The next time you load a page, the browser hands that file back, so the site can remember something: that you already loaded it, that a filter was applied, that a form was started.
Some tools do the same job with local storage instead of cookies. It works differently under the hood but amounts to the same thing: a small amount of data kept in your browser. This page covers both.
There is no cookie consent banner on this site today. If that changes, we will update this page and say so.
Essential cookies from Webflow
This site is hosted on Webflow, and Webflow sets its own cookies to deliver it. They handle things like routing your request to the right server, keeping a session steady while you move between pages, and recording that a form on this site was submitted so it does not resubmit.
These are strictly functional. They do not track you across other websites and they do not build a profile of you. If you block them, parts of the site may stop working properly.
Analytics: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4
We run Google Tag Manager (container GTM-NHH4JW22), which is the loader that puts our analytics tag on the page. The tag it loads is Google Analytics 4 (property G-XJY4FQLYKL). Tag Manager by itself does not measure anything; Analytics does the measuring.
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit apart from another. What it reports back to us is which pages were viewed and in what order, how long people stayed, whether a visitor is new or returning, roughly where in the world they are, what device and browser they used, and how they reached the site, for example from a search engine or a link.
We use this to see which parts of the directory get used and which pages are broken. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not try to match it to a listing or a form submission.
Your IP address is handled by Google, not by us. Google uses it to work out approximate location and then applies its own IP handling before the data reaches our reports. We never see your raw IP address in Analytics.
Functional storage: Jetboost and Mapbox
The search and filtering on the directory is powered by Jetboost. It uses cookies and browser storage to keep the search working while you use it: remembering what you typed, which filters are on, and which results are already loaded as you scroll.
The location box inside that search is a Mapbox geocoder, injected by Jetboost. When you type a city or a ZIP code, that text is sent to Mapbox so it can turn it into a place and return matching suggestions. Mapbox may set cookies or use local storage to make that work and to apply its own usage limits.
Both of these are functional. They exist so the directory can be searched. Block them and the search box and the location filter will stop working. Each company handles that data under its own privacy terms.
No advertising, no cross-site tracking
There is no ad network on this site. No retargeting pixel, no advertising cookie, no data broker tag, nothing following you from here to the next site you visit. The four names above are the complete list of third parties that run code on these pages.
We do not sell your data and we do not bid your leads out. Nothing a cookie records here gets sold or handed to a lead buyer.
How to control cookies
Your browser is in charge, not us. Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block cookies from a specific site. In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari the controls sit under settings, in the privacy or site data section. Private or incognito windows clear everything when you close them.
To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Analytics from measuring your visits on any site that uses it. You can install it from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. That one add-on covers this site and every other site running Google Analytics.
Worth knowing before you block everything: turning off the essential Webflow cookies or the Jetboost and Mapbox storage will break the directory search. Turning off analytics costs you nothing. Browsing the directory does not require an account, so you can use this site without being logged in to anything.
